Just now: 刚才 (gāngcái)

If you want to say something occurred "just now", you can use 刚才 (gāngcái) in Chinese. It can be placed in front of the verb or the subject of a statement. The grammar structure is 刚才 + Verb. You put "刚才 " right before the verb. It can be placed before the subject or after the subject. 

For example, 

  • 刚才,他去了北海公园。Just now, he went to the Beihai Park.
  • 他刚才去了北海公园。He went to the Beihai Park just now. 
Please try to translate the sentences into Chinese by using the given verb phrases:
1) I'm sorry, I just now stepped out. (出去)

2) Just now I went to the washroom. (去洗手间)

3) I was having a meeting just now. (开会)

4) Just now a girl came here looking for you. (来找你)

5) I had my lunch just now. (吃午饭)
